CarrierOk

Sell to the fleets that already run your equipment.

What is truck and trailer data?

Truck and trailer data describes the equipment a fleet actually operates: the makes and body types of its power units, the length and type of its trailers, and the engine and fuel configuration underneath. Carriers do not file any of that, so it cannot be looked up directly.

CarrierOk derives it instead. Every roadside inspection records the VIN of the vehicle inspected, and those VINs decode against NHTSA's database into make, body, class, and engine detail, attributed back to the carrier that was operating them. The result reflects the trucks seen on the road rather than a fleet count filed years ago.

Target fleets by what they actually run.

Equipment comes from VINs observed in roadside inspections and decoded against NHTSA, so it reflects the trucks on the road rather than a self-reported count.

Know the fleet before you pitch it.

Each carrier carries its observed equipment mix alongside the filed counts, so a fleet that has grown since its last MCS-150 is visible.

Coverage follows what each carrier filed with the FMCSA, so some records are missing a field. Derived intelligence, including BASIC percentiles, ISS, risk signals, and VIN-decoded equipment, is part of the platform and the API.

Keep a territory, not a spreadsheet.

Fleets change what they run. Work your territory in the app, where the equipment picture refreshes and your notes on each shop stay attached.

Lists, tags, and a stage per list

Group them your way, label them in your own words, and track where each one sits in your process.

Notes and an activity timeline

Every note, call, and export is recorded against the record, so the next person to open it sees what already happened.

Saved views that count what changed

Save a search and the app tells you how many new matches have appeared since you last looked.

Bring the book you already have

Import a CSV of DOT, MC, or EIN numbers and the app matches them to the record, handing back anything it could not match.

Anyone selling into a fleet needs to know what it runs.

Dealers, finance, parts, and service teams all qualify on equipment before anything else.

Dealers and finance

Find fleets running the makes you carry, sized by the equipment actually observed.

Parts and service

Segment by body type, trailer length, and engine configuration inside a service radius.

Fleet technology

Qualify by fleet shape, the driver to power unit ratio, and annual mileage before you call.

Truck & Trailer Directory FAQ

CarrierOk is a carrier intelligence platform whose directory indexes every FMCSA registrant. It consolidates the FMCSA record on any motor carrier or broker and adds the scoring FMCSA does not publish: all 7 BASIC percentiles, a computed ISS score, 50+ named risk signals, and policy-level insurance history, with monitoring that reports changes the same day. The same record is delivered however you consume it: the directory and the web app, a REST API, a Chrome extension, or bulk files.
From VINs recorded in roadside inspections, decoded against NHTSA's vehicle database and attributed back to the carrier. 610,100 carriers currently have at least one decoded equipment record. Measured September 10, 2026.
Yes. Filter by power unit and trailer make, body type, trailer length, GVWR class, engine configuration and horsepower, and fuel type, and combine any of it with fleet size, region, and safety filters.
The MCS-150 count is self-reported and can be years old. Observed equipment comes from inspections, so a fleet that has grown or changed what it runs since its last filing shows the difference.
Yes. Filtered lists export as structured CSV, and the export carries your own columns as well: the lists each carrier is on, your tags, its stage, and when you last touched it.
Yes. The consolidated profile includes fleet composition, and VIN-decoded equipment is part of the platform and API rather than the bulk mirror.
