How do I find new carriers on FMCSA?

FMCSA publishes new registrations and authority grants continuously, but it publishes them as raw register files rather than as a list you can work. Reading them yourself means downloading the daily FMCSA files, joining registrations to the authority actions that follow, and doing it again tomorrow.

FMCSA grants roughly 200 to 400 new operating authorities every business day. In 2026-08, the last complete month, it granted 5,583, about 266 a business day. New USDOT registrations run higher: 15,987 numbers were issued in the trailing 30 days. Measured September 10, 2026.
